Re: CBR1000 Firestorm
Hi all, a few pictures of my finished bike, I used it last year and it's a fully working, no issue bike. New tyres on and MOT tomorrow. Love this bike and have decided to do another project. This time with a single sided swingarm and as yet in decided body work. Any ideas? https://i1027.photobucket....

Re: CBR1000 Firestorm
Hi fellas. Long time with no post!! Anyone interested in the pictures of my bike? Been finished for ages and been used all summer with a couple of small but now sorted issues. One being the battery overheating due to the down pipe being too close and the other being the radiator on the nearside rubb...

You was very fortunate to find someone who had an excess of dosh and prepared to pay £2600 for it, even if it where in good nick. In the North East I'd struggle to get 2k for a non standard machine like that!!!!

Re: CBR1000 Firestorm
Hi, long time no post!!! I have completed all the mechanicals and electrical work and am now doing the bodywork (my favourite!). I have fitted the KOSO dash, I'm really impressed with it, it seems like good quality and has a multitude of settings. I have modified the sump plug and utilised the oil t...

Re: Cuts out when hot
OK, I now see a possible link! I guess the test would be to let it idle until hot and see if it still does it? These types of problems can be a beggar to find but ace when you get it!! I don't see the temperature having any bearing on the fuel diaphragm, it should be the same hot or cold if that was...

Re: Cuts out when hot
I don't see the temperature having any bearing on the fuel diaphragm, it should be the same hot or cold if that was the problem?? It's a very simple check in any case to see if that's the issue. I would also be looking at an air leak on the inlet side of things, possible carb rubbers, that could giv...

Re: Cuts out when hot
Is the bike perfectly ok when it is cold? Does the bike misfire at all or just cuts out when left to idle and is hard to start? Sounds like over fuelling with the very limited information given, possible choke issue/sticking? Try to give us more to work with like exactly what your feeling when it ru...

Re: F***ng honda brake bleeding !!!!!!!
Holding the lever will not clear your remaining air from the system, all you have done is move one strokes worth of fluid forward. How I approach this is work from the top forward. Firstly I remove the banjo from the master cylinder and top up the reservoir with brake fluid. I then compress the leve...
