shame I haven't any spare cash, i'd have snapped it up, I've been thinking of getting another vfr, I bought a new one back in 98.
the riding I do now lends itself more towards a vfr, I may even sell my vtr in the future.
good luck with the sale buddy.....

Re: Things I've learned from long distance riding
2 summers ago I did a little over 1000 miles in two days on the storm. i'd lowered the pegs, fitted a touring screen, also mirror extenders and a comfy seat. it was still hard work tho, the first day was 600 miles and towards the end of the first day my tendons in my right wrist were getting sore, b...

Re: Legal ins and outs of de-catting
Good to see the cat Marty  It looks pretty scary with what I take to be smoke in the 3rd and 4th photo's. Thanks for posting the pic's, Chris. the pictures with the smoke was about 10 mins before we evacuated, 6 days later and the fire has only just been extinguished not sure the exact amo...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
some goods news at last, we went back to the house this evening to look for the missing cat, we're only allowed in the fire zone for a few hours. and we are over the moon that he turned up. a tad dirty/sooty but otherwise ok, we'll take him to the vets on Monday for a check up. Sad about the rabbit...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Quick update 48hrs since the fire and we have been briefly allowed home to try and find our cat. And to access the damage. Sadly no sign of the cat. All we could do was leave food and water and hope he returns. I'd say out of our 15 acres. At least 12 acres is burned. But amazingly all the buildings...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Not so much as today. But yesterday me and my family had to evacuate our home in north eastern Spain because of a massive forest fire. We only had time to grab our pets and leave. Dam you drive fast when you see huge flames heading towards you. Sadly we couldn't find our cat. But I think he'll be ok...

Re: Newbie
welcome
also check the starter motor terminal for corrosion, it's located right at the front of the engine, right where all the crap comes off of the front wheel, pull back the rubber boot and smoother with grease to prevent corrosion, and check it every 6 months or so.
