when he brought the bike out the booth the first thing he asked me was "what's been done to the engine" swiftly followed by "you got some work ahead" as they already knew they weren't doing any work to it

When do you want to have a go at fattening it up Neil? I've checked and I've not got the leftovers of my VTR kit anymore. I thought the black one was running lean, this was the printout from today with the red one.............not good :thumbdown:

took it for a dyno run....knew it would be running lean with the stubby cans on but didn't think it would be as bad as it is...............major work ahead me thinks :thumbdown:

I done that trip with the school some 35 or so years ago and always said I'd go back again. The school still does the grip as my daughter went on it 3 or 4 years ago.

Later model carbs

Anyone know what the standard set up is on the later model (if there's any difference). It needs set up properly with the stubby cans on so taking for a dyno run to get a starting point later today and it would help if I could tell the guy the basic set up.
