Mozza, Sounds very much like the front end is sitting too high Either too much oil (TBH you'd probably notice the forks going solid before you noticed it pushing wide) Spring/ spacer length too long Its not uncommon for replacement springs to be longer than stock which means you need to cut down the...

My twopence 1. Give the calipers a damn good clean I only ever use 2 fingers (max) on the brake lever and have enough bite to lift the rear Remove the calipers and pads one side at a time Carefully pump the brake lever -probably one piston will emerge Clean it up, push it back in and repeat Then blo...

Tony, The clutch woes are caused by two things 1. Main cause -clutch springs made of knicker elastic I fitted a set of EBC ones (£8 from Demon Tweaks) and mine was 100% better 2. Notches on clutch basket Where the clutch plates engage on the basket they can cause slight dips in the teeth. This then...

Adfski, The shock wont come out without removing the swingarm or exhaust Personally I'd go for the swingarm for a couple of reasons 1. As Chris says, clean and grease the linkages while it is apart (makes a big difference to handling!) 2. Piece of pee job -reckon on half an hour provided none of the...

Shaun's spacers are NEARLY right However, to fit them you need to remove quite a bit of the back end of the bike to get it over the bolt I adapted the design a bit and could fit/ remove them at the roadside in minutes http://img494.imageshack.us/img494/944/spacer8lu.jpg And FWIW I ran 4mm on the roa...

And they're blue!!

Boy was I relieved it was an Incident investigation officer with no witness and no recording equipment

Ben, have you got adjustable rearsets? your feet look well back? Nah, just big feet :D I've got home made fixed footpegs on (made from M&P replacement footpegs bolted directly to the standard hangers) that actually put your feet slightly lower but are shorter so no grounding out problems http:/...

is it 42 in the rear and 36 in the front..
That'd do it!!
I know the manual says 42 rear but thats a general setting to account for a large pie eating rider and pillion
I'd say 38 would be a more realistic starting point for the rear on a one up blast

Its actually the release agent that makes the tyres slippery, not the fact the rubber hasnt been scuffed up It soaks into the tyre a bit so scrubbing with sandpaper isnt really gonna do much (apart from look better) What you need is to get some heat into it and be gentle with the throttle while lean...

....head and chest down low Nooo. Thats what the journo's do to look fast for the cameras It moves your centre of weight back towards the middle of the bike and requires more lean for the same speed If you are sat up the weight is more inside, lean angle is reduced and your lower half is unaffected...

Biggest mistake people make is sticking their elbow right off the seat but the comfort zone requirement kicks in so they keep their head/ body over the tank where it feels safe Consequently their weight isnt off the inside of the bike and they end up carrying more lean angle Additionally their knee ...

M&P used to do a small one with a 1/2" drive hole on it
You could then get the ratchet on it
