Re: VTR Side Pannier Project.

I had panniers and top box on my vtr. Served me well used to carry some heavy loads. Sold the boxes the other week, still got rack and pannier mountings but they need repair. If only fuel range was better I would still use it for touring but I gave up on that.

Re: WP rear shock

That might be the one I bought on here for my VTR. At same time I had the WP shock rebuilt for my CCM604 which was same but without remote reservoir. It was a place near Burnley I used. I'll give you his number when I find it. Think cost of rebuild was £110

Re: It’ll come in useful!

Yes I also gather bits if I think it will be useful. Last week dropped wife off at chiropractor and there in car park was a perfect fit rubber bung to replace one I'd lost a few weeks ago to fit one of my garden tools. Once in Yorkshire dales I found £120 scattered in short stretch of road, ice crea...

Don't know how long it had been there but shows it's best to check Well spotted, like you say well worth checking these things. That's the first time I have seen a crack l...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Threads had stripped in rear caliper so bought a helicoil kit to repair it. Only a tenner from China. 15minutes to fit and all back together now. 9 spare helicoils now don't know if they'll get used as its an unusual size.
