Ah yes,of course! I spoke to another mechanic,salt of the earth,well respected,runs race team,mega reputation,trading as son and now head for decades. He said it would show warning signs,ie rattles and he knew of the cct issue. I suppose ...... I don't feel up to doing job myself ......... Any idea ...

Have used a similar product to no effect,but the shocks I used them on were cheapos so maybe poor chroming to begin with!

Doesn't just using the front brake unbalance the bike?
One wheel being slowed,the other spinning freely?
Seems wrong to me,but that's maybe a personal riding style thing.

I too always have two fingers on the brake lever as I read an article that explained the distance you can cover while moving your fingers into position;it can be considerable! I always look at a side junction car's front wheels for movement and make eye contact with the driver. Always use front and ...

OK,thanks for that.
I'm not the mechanical type so may have to get it done by a mechanic ....

I've noticed that the large majority of bikes for sale on ebay/autotrader/gumtree haven't had the mod;I'd say 3/4 are standard.

I now have an SSD and it is much quicker etc.
Apparently the lack of moving parts makes it more robust,so they say ....

I thought HTTPS Everywhere made all sites https?
When I log in here,it's not https,my browser flags this up,I turn on HTTPS Everywhere and the site then appears with the https prefix ....
