Re: You only get 1 mod.....

But, I'm really hard pushed to think of anything else I'd do to the VTR (if I collected it out of the showroom with 0 miles on it). Even if I knew other owners that had Storms before I bought m...

Re: Sprocket Cover - Gasket & Rubber Plate Question...
I'm a bit confused here...the holes you refer to are for a metal plate which is attached to the back of the chain cover plate. Re: Sprocket Cover - Gasket & Rubber Plate Question...
I guess the rubber on the sprocket cover acts as a sound dampener cutting a couple of decibels when on the move... in your wild open spaces I'd say not to worry if it's AWOL. Thanks for another confirmation Wicky. At least it's not a mechanical necessity. There may be folk out there into saving wei...

Re: Sprocket Cover - Gasket & Rubber Plate Question...
You don't need either. The rubber just dampens the chain sound, and the gaskit is pointless Ahh - Ok then. Many thanks for that Meester Lloydie. The cans are loud enough to hide any sound from the rear sprocket, and the engine rattles/clunkjs/whirrs and other weird noises hides any noise from the f...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
...lastly will be to clean the headers the best I can without removing them, as I really don't believe they can be removed without the studs snapping. That's my thoughts as well. Polish by hand for now. I'd love to take the headers off and get the polishing mops on to get a proper shiny job, and th...

By hand with a wrapped cloth and Autosol (using the push-pull method), or didja do them by power tool thingy and a mop? Here's the push pull method....
