Re: Track day project.
Lots of pics [emoji106][emoji16] Here's one that will hopefully be out of date soon, I'll be shopping on eBay for a standard top yoke so I can sell the Renthal bars complete with risers & drilled yoke. http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t82/bigr250/IMG_3209_zpsnoocydfm.jpg I've already got some...

Track day project.
As mentioned else where I converted the bike to race shift today and over the next couple of weeks I'll be fitting a 98 Fireblade swinging arm brace & locating slot for a blade rear calliper bracket onto a Firestorm 'swinger'. I'll try to photo it all through the cutting and welding stages befor...

Re: Firestorm to 'race shift'
It'll probably go one spline further back as the lever is too high at the moment anyway, but lots to do with not much time today or tomorrow but we're a step closer. I took this off today too. http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t82/bigr250/IMG_3208_zpsnjylvkp3.jpg Definitely looks better without it....

Firestorm to 'race shift'
Hi people. One of my first questions to the forum was whether this was possible without structural alterations, and while it's probably not of interest to many it'll make a big difference to me. Good news for me, it was as easy as I'd hoped. Simply flip the shift arm on the selector shaft upside dow...

Re: Socket sets
Snap on do a cheaper range called 'Blue Point', they are also lifetime guaranteed & really good quality. I've got literally thousands of £'s worth of Snap On tools & bought a Blue Point socket set for my 16 year old son to get him started. http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t82/bigr250/IMG_3...

Re: Old fat ex 250 racer.
Welcome aboard Ross  Chris. Thanks Chris. No updates to report just yet but I've been buying a few bits & bobs to get things moving. Like a 1998 Fireblade 'swinger' (for the brace) & calliper bracket, lots of cutting, grinding & welding required on the arm and calliper guide et...

Re: Track day advice please
I hope all is well and neither you or the bike are too badly beaten. I'm getting a Firestorm ready as a trackday bike and a pre requisite for me is a pair of wet's on wheels. I first raced a bike in 1974 and hated racing in wet conditions. After years out of the game I came back in 1999 and once I'd...

Re: I now own a (complete) Firestorm
Using mine for track days at the moment but will be getting it on the road for op storm meets. Let me know if you get on the road would be good to meet up. Any idea what's happening with the piper after fire? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk It looks almost ready to open, new thatched roof now on...

Looks good mate I'm in Liverpool also where about are you from I'm near fazakerley. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I live in Lydiate but (at the moment) don't ride on the road, the firestorm is tested so I am thinking of looking for some insurance quotes with a view to maybe putting it on the r...

Thanks fabiostar, it came with some useful stuff to, a freshly powder coated front wheel with new bearings and seals, standard silencers, a genuine Honda Workshop manual & a few other nick-nacks.

Re: I now own a (complete) Firestorm
Looks good [emoji106] Looks can be deceiving Lloydie, it's not bad for a tired old girl but its all there and it came with the standard clip ons so the raisers, bars & rack can go on eBay. It's done 55,000 miles but has manual CCT's and has just had the valve clearances done. I have another eng...

I now own a (complete) Firestorm
A 5am start and a 240 mile drive to pick it up and I'm the owner of my soon to be track day VTR1000. http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t82/bigr250/IMG_3191_zps4nepudos.jpg That is after strapping down for the return journey, it was raining when I got back to Liverpool so I got it inside before it r...

That's an easy one for me, my 2006 SJK kitted TZ250. I bought it new and should have kept it and remained it's only ever owner, this was the day it arrived, 1st April 2006!!

Re: Old fat ex 250 racer.
I started on a TZ350B. Or was it a C, I can't remember now. Anyway, it was a twin-shock model. Graduated to a D (first of the monoshocks?) and ended up on an F. I still have the rotor puller sitting in my toolbox if you ever need one... Hi, there wasn't really a 'B' model. The 'A' was the first TZ ...
