Re: MCCTs
Well, must say I am surprised and concerned to receive such an aggressive response from a long-standing member. I don't think it was intended to be aggressive. It's just that CCTs are a constant refrain on the forum and so many people seem to come on here having had a CCT failure. Almost without ex...
Re: MCCTs
Bought my VTR four months ago with 85000 km on the clock, ( OEM cct), and I don´t know about the bike history, ( i dodn´t know about the cct problem then.. And this makes me, as a new owner, wonder. Has there been a MAJOR problem with OEM CCTs, or has there been a possible over-reaction to a proble...

Reassuring to know that all serious crimes and burglaries have been solved so they can devote resources to extract money from those who have road tax, insurance etc. 9 out of 10 proper crimes go unsolved. Never mind, let's screw a few road users over. Mate, worse thing about it is I don't speed jus...

I learnt some Japanese ahead of my trip there in March/April this year. I was able to use some of it and it was appreciated by the Japanese in shops/restaurants etc. I'll continue to study it as I want to go back again next year.

I average 42 mpg from the Storm. Carbs are standard and with Scorpion cans. Each to their own, but in standard trim I find the Storm plenty fast enough up to three figures, especially with slightly reduced gearing.

Re: Very loud Airhorn
Riding on full beam is only likely to antagonise some people and could lead to them becoming aggressive e.g jamming on brakes as you dazzle them from behind. I really don't get this bad behaviour from car drivers, but maybe I drive defensively and position myself to be seen? Maybe an IAM course rath...

Re: Standard Alarm Fault
Mine used to have a Meta alarm. PITA - stripped it out eons ago after it wouldn't de-immobilise the bike, which luckily was in the garage at the time, not 100 miles away!
