Re: hard wearing rear tyre choice
Couple of comments, without wishing to wind anyone up. The comments about not buying cheap tyres, I understand, but please remember modern tyres have a MASSIVE performance envelope and I would say (and yes it's a guess) from my experience only 5% of riders are using the full capability of their tyre...

Re: Welding Questions Help
If you've never welded before I wouldn't even attempt it, but for something like that I'd rather replace the shaft, sorry! Well thats not a very can do attitude... Its had a washer welded in place before to hold the circlip in place before being removed to put another sprocket on. no other option a...

Re: Welding Questions Help
You wouldn't be able to change the sprocket, and you would be amazed how quick that sprocket will wear once you can't change it. New shaft would be best but tapping it and putting a bolt on the end is certainly feasible. some bikes use a bolt and washer there anyway. You might need to run a drill th...

Yup. Caliper off, strip it apart and do a rebuild. get a caliper rebuild kit from wemoto it's only a few quid and it's a really easy job.

Re: Moan about gear - jackets/gloves etc.
I got a set of Weiss textile jacket and trousers and they are ace. I am a 'larger' (ahem) frame (it's pure muscle) . 6" length of zip to join back of jacket to trousers so no draughts, pockets everywhere, and the cuffs are way large enough to go over winter gloves, with velcro easy to tighten s...

Re: My lithium battery experiment is OVER!!!!!!
I have found an alternative way to lose the weight.
I have lost nearly two stone in the last couple of months, saved a fortune on kebabs and spent zero on unobtanium parts.
I reckon that's a win win!
Reckon that's about 5 batteries worth?

Yeah, it's obviously scripted, but I still think it's hilarious. The last two series the episodes have been a bit hit and miss, but there's always a few that have me in complete hysterics.
