Keep the bleed bottle above the master cylinder . Try cracking open the banjo bolt momentarily whilst squeezing the lever then close immediately. Might have to repeat a few times.

Just run 2 heavy duty wires straight from the reg/rec negative and positive terminals to your battery terminals. Leave the original 2 pin connector disconnected as you don't need it now because you have a direct connection . Don't forget to fit an inline 30 amp fuse on the positive cable you fitted ...
