Southen Softies Ride to Wales...

Post by MacV2 »

Friday 11th September...

Here is the Plan for meeting up on Route...

Mainly M/ways but planing for Fule stops, fag brakes, pi ss stops & grub...

The first meet point is Clacket lane services TN16 2ER 09.00 hrs leaving @ 09.45 at the latest... Meet point is the fule station.

Then M25 J15 onto M4...Reading Services RG30 3UQ. Midway between J11 & J12... From Clacket its 68miles ETA 11.30 time for a break then fule up aim to leave 12.00. hrs.

So If you don't want to meet at Clacket, meet us at Reading. Again fule station is best place to meet.

All fuled up, legs stretched, bladders empty...Destination Aust services..Although appraently it's not called that any more it's now the ''Severn View services'' BS35 4BH & remember it,s not directly off the M4 . You leave M4 & join M48 leave at J1 & follow signs...

From Reading its 84 miles so ETA is 13.30... This being lunch time we may have a longer stop & it's a chance for other folks to meet up... For the final ride to Rayader... 83 miles aprrox 2 hrs...

Happy days 8 sleeps to go !

I love it when a plan comes together*

*As this is a Storm meet, watch it fall apart.......

9AM at Clacketts, (named after the sound of a cct failure) is good for me.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Great stuff!

Might see if I can drag Bazza out of his bed a bit earlier and get there with enough time for a bacon roll and pretentious caffemokkalattefrappaccinno.

Can't wait

Attention Jamie...!!!

As you didnt bother ansewring your phone or call me back re the mesg I left you...

Be aware that apprently Clacket Lane services will not have any fule, for the forseeable future...

So you need to fill up before you get there...

You could fill up at Thurock then head to Clacket as per for the meet... Thats 18 miles Thurock to Clacket, then 68 miles to Reading.

We'll pass the new services around M25 j10, can't recall what they're called, we could splash and dash there if you wanted.

Hmmm. It looks like a Thursday run out to Wales is possible, instead of the Friday as arranged. We'd get a rideout in on the Friday as well as the Saturday that way.

UPDATE:
I have the Thursday off, so am able to go Thurs instead of Friday.

Anyone else want to grab their choice of bunk before the hordes descend?

It'll be a Friday ride up for me. So I'll be a Clacket lane @ 09.00.

Who's gonna be there ?
