I did lol. I figured that part out. Turns out I’ll need to completely retime the cams. Can you remove the cams without removing heads? First time into a vtwin so bear with me 😂

Yes, remove the cams, lift the chains to free up the engine and start again, following the instructions and photos. You don't need to remove the heads.
When turning the crank have someone hold the chains taut, or one will lock up the crank again as you turn it. It doesn't do any damage.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

The photo's in this link show cam lobe positions for the rear cylinder:- viewtopic.php?p=264316#p264316
And where the RI marks lines up with the top of the cylinder-head in the next photo.

Link taken from page (1) of this thread, as Mac points out

I got the engine back in the correct timing. Installed and tightened the tensioners to there recommended tension. But I am still having problems with my front and rear chains jumping up and back down in the top of each stroke. Any ideas on what it might be?

Sounds like the tensioner is too slack.
If it was adjusted correctly there is no way the chain would be able to rise enough to jump a cog

The 6mm slack is total movement up and down. Not 6mm up and 6mm down making it 12mm.

I am aware that its not supposed to be 6mm up and 6mm down. I was under the impression I had that correct already. I will check that tonight and hopefully that will be the end to all this trouble

This can sometimes happen when the chain is not sitting properly in the lower sprocket before adjusting the tension.
Give it a pull either way before installing the cams and setting the cam sprockets, then tighten the tensioner.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Eek... the panic has struck! So I did he MCCT’s a few weeks back and all went well (other then scratching the tank), bike ran well, I’ve had it run up to temp in the garden twice before riding. Went out to warm it up again today and after 4-5min I heard a noticeable Click, it happened a few times over he next few min, I turned off the bike in panic. I had the MCCT’s nice and tight with the 6mm up/down slack. Anyone know what the noticeable “click” might be? I know it’s very cold out but still put the panic in me.

What is that? 😂 the click sounds like a light switch being turned on. Only happens a couple of times over a few minutes so I turned her off.

I don't know what causes carb farts, but it sounds like a thump under the fuel tank.Nearly all Vtr's suffer from it.Mine used to do it before it warmed up properly.
