 Looking good and glad to hear it fitted fine. Phew! over a few thousand miles a few millimetres out and it could have been a problem.

Did you use the punched or reamed hole version?

ahhh, yes...... I did not pay attention, picked the one that looked the better of the two and installed it. Im going to guess reamed holes as the other one has some puckering of the vinyl at the holes.

I wont know until tonight and that is only if the monsoon stops ...but the vinyl is gloss where the OEM one is mat.......Did not think about that until was installing it, but with my top mounted LED lighting https://www.superhawkforum.com/forums/m ... ing-33868/

I may get some glare to deal with

Funnily enough just had some other vinyl stickers done and with them they had the option of gloss or matt laminated finishing

I forgot to ask on your protoype version with the firm that buried them to do a matt finish!

Looked at your LED crimbo light string in the housing above the face plate and it looks like it would be overpowering to the red coloured lighting from below.

The lighting is dim able, so you can get what ever works for you.
And, I did not like the back lighting with no top light...it just was not very readable to me at night...with just a moderate amount of top light to illuminate the needle and markings it works well.
I'll try this set up with no top light, and then add some as i go

Has the gain to the odometer been addressed...I like this mod and have been thinking the bike will rapidly get old?

A speedo correcter changes the input signal, which drives the speed read out and ODO, fix one, you fixed both

The calibrated needle appears at about 100kph sitting at the original 200kph position, I get that the speedohealer sets the needles range accurate to the new fascia. But I can't see how the odometer can be correct. I think I may be missing something?
I've messed with a mechanical speedos to calibrate it and the odometer was simply geared to the input. The needle separately calibrated by preload etc

Apparently I am getting blonder as I get older

Just fit one and meter it out. Go on a 20 mile ride and see what it says.

TBH the mileage reading means little anyway on a bike more than 15 years old- it's too easy to swap a speedo set. Even the MOT record doesn't help- it's simple to swap to another clock set for six months then put the original back on for the next MOT.
So a bike with a record saying that it's only done 300 miles between MOT's may have done 30, 000- you just can't tell.

Not that I ever bothered- none of my engines ever stayed in long enough to be worth measuring...
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Just to close this out yesterday I finally got time to make adjustments to theHealTech V4 speedo healer

After some trial and error the new speedo face reads accurate to within a quarter of a mile an hour at all speeds 10 to 143
