VTR SWINGARM & USD FORKS CONVERSION

Post by alexmac »

HI ALL. JUST FINNISED THIS YEAR, MY VTR CONVERSION. SP2 SWINGARM + 2006 FIREBLADE FORKS,2006 FIREBLADE WHEEL'S -RADIAL CALIPER'S-DISC'S 954 TOP AND BOTTEM YOAK'S, WITH MODIFIED STEERING STOP'S AND 929 BAR'S. (PLENTY OF CLEARANCE) THE FRONT'S AN EASY OUT SWAP, WITH VERY LITTLE,MOD'S( EVEN BEARING SAME SIZE) . THE SP2 SWINGARM IS ALSO AN EASY SWAP, SAME SIZE SWINGARM PIVIOT SPINDLE (YOU USE THE FIRESTORM ONE) THEN IT'S JUST A CASE OF MAKING THE SPACER'S (AGAIN USE THE FIRESTORM ONE'S TO ,CU TO SIZE) YOU'LL ALSO NEED THE SP2 REAR WHEEL SPINDLE & CALIPER MOUNT, YOU CAN EITHER USE AN SP2 OR FIRESTORM CALIPER.
RIGHT THAT'S THE EASY BIT;S ? THE PROBLEM;S START WHEN YOU HAVE TO WORK OUT, THE REAR WHEEL MOVEMENT ( UP+DOWN ) IN RELATION TO THE SHOCK MOVMENT (UP+DOWN) WORKING OUT THE RATIO CAN BE A NIGHTMARE? BUT THAT'S AN OTHER STORY, I HAD TO FABRICATE A CUSTOM ROCKER ARM , AND HAVE A BESPOKE OHLIN'S SHOCK BUILT( NOT CHEAP) THE BIKE HANDLE.S AND TURN'S FANTASTIC PLUS SHED LOAD OF lbs.ANYBODY DOING THESE MOD'S, AND NEED'S ANY INFO.I WILL BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO HELP. I WOULD LIKE TO POST SOME PIC'S OF THE BIKE. BUT I HAVE NOT GOT A CLUE HOW TO. IF ANYBODY CAN HELP WITH THIS INFO IT WILL NEED TO BE IN SIMPLE LAYMAN'S TERM'S. ALL THE BEST http://s1323.beta.photobucket.com/user/ ... 4/library/

WELCOME TO THE FORUM o that's better a little quieter

You have got some nice mods there, shame you have had to splash out on an expensive shock, but I bet it handles perfectly. To post pics you need to upload the pictures to an image hosting site like Photobucket or equivalent. Once you have the pics uploaded on there you will see a tab for sharing. Within there you will find the appropriate code which you can copy and paste straight into you post. It will look something like this

Code: Select all

[img]pic goes in here[/img]
if the code that you copy and paste does not contain the image tags

Code: Select all

[img][/img]
then you can using the image tag button at the top of you post and insert the link to the image within them.

Here a picture of my Storm
Image

and this is the code I copied and pasted

Code: Select all

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
