Yes, my little workshop is my little refuge - I don't have to tell you how much I enjoyed the long winter evenings in company with my pet camel :P . And the cold beer was just outside the window :wink2

Holy sh1t Chris ... That is some impressive pipes there - I gotta do that next winter :eek2 But the swingarm is going to the painter along with the backframe - black I think !

VTRDM take note, in that link how mine discoloured after a very short while, too a nice gold colour which I quite like :)

had to re register for some reason..
that was my bike and i see you tarted her up a bit,and must say she still looks luvly and those forks are cool....
i do miss that vtr, especially the sound....keep the post going with your improvements..

Right, that's it!
Forks are off, and while I'm changing the oil I'm having a go at this polishing lark- that is, if the old hammer drill clamped in a vice holds out :whatever

(it's getting a bit hot- probably because the rag I've wrapped round it to hold it firmly is blocking the air holes, now I come to think of it).

I'm going to lacquer a clear coat over the lower leg once it's done, as I ride every day, and can't be bothered to polish after every ride.

Piccy's once done.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
