Greetings from Sussex

Post by stevo2309 »

Hey all

Steve in East Sussex here.

Just wanted to introduce myself and my recently acquired baby. It's very reassuring to have found this excellent forum....although I now am completely paranoid about cam chain issues! But aside from that, wow - what a seriously underrated and overlooked road bike. And that sound....so addictive!

Here's my baby anyway. As you can see it's had a few mods and is beginning to look a bit like an Aprilia Tuono! Works for me anyway...

Those pipes look good. Who are they by? they look like they've been cut down too.

Cheers chaps

Cans are Quills I believe and yep, they've been cut back - nicely done by the previous owner too. Other mods are a shock spacer, SW Motech mirror extenders, undertray, mini indicators and stubby adjustable levers. The mirror extenders and levers were my mods. I need to take a peek at the shock spacer size as I just noticed that when parked on the side stand one of the exhaust down pipes rests on the shock linkage. Obviously when I'm on the bike it pushes the linkage down and away from the pipe...but even so, not entirely happy about that heat contact after each ride.... Plus at the moment it means keeping the preload on the softest setting to make sure they stay apart when I'm on board..
