the 916 isnt bad....

Personally if I was having a Ducati though, I would prefer one of these 3 bikes (all 3 would be better :P)

Mike Hailwood Replica
Ducati 350 Monza
Ducati Supermono

But the Firestorm and SP1/2 are still nice :P:D

IgorVigor.
Sorry, but I don't really like the 900, but the Supermono is rather good.

Timbo.
What I did get was a couple of fellas at my local bike club meeting saying how they'd seen I had got rid of the 748 and assuumed I had traded it for the 'new' 916. I guess having changed the registration as well helps throw people off the scent!!!

Now, do I really need another bike? No, but an R1 appeals....................

PS Had two friends injured this w/e and it does make me think. One endoed his 6 week old Speed Triple R due to an absent minded pedestrian and the other tore his Triumph Daytona literally in half on the front of a Fiesta.
The first has two broken scaphoids but the second has a broken tibula and fibula (so now pinned), a broken shoulder, broken arm, smashed hand and a broken pelvis. Do a proper job eh? I wish 'em all the best. 8O

Ooohhh...that sounds painful LSM :(

I think your bike looks top  Would have been funny to have it badged up as a 748 with the 916 lump in  The clutch basket looks cool 8)

I love the sound of that rattlin' open clutch......................... but it's not everyones cup of tea. Only at standstill though. When moving it is all pure V twin noise!!! Mind you, it gets some looks from non-in-the-knowledge passers by!!!!!!!!!
