yes first v twin, only passed my test in May despite being 38 the bandit was my first big bike, I'm mates with marravtr so i've been warned about the different styles, but it's gonna be a baptism of fire as i'm picking it up from Banbury on sunday so a fair old trip back. Looking forward to finally getting my sliders abused, tried on the bandit but couldnt do it or didnt have the b**locks one of the two...
Welcome, great bike , great colour. Watch out trying to scrape those sliders . If you struggled on the bandit it will still be a challenge on the Storm. Enjoy the forum.
I see myself as a sensitive intelligent man but with the heart of a clown that causes me to **ck things up right at that crucial moment........'Jim Morrison'
wow! How cool was that, picked the storm up and it was a lot easier to ride than i expected, much less changing gear and the power...
It was supposed to have a set of microns on it but the guy didnt have the brackets so it came with standard cans, he had had the zorst off though and i'm wondering if he may have left a leak as the bike cut out once stopped in neutral at a roundabout and once at home when it went with a little pop. Other than that its ticking over o.k. will have to investigate........

they do it a lot... and usually when you pull up at traffic lights or roundabouts after you have just que jumped rush hour traffic to get to the front the lights are just about to change and then FUT...... nothing to worry about... just be aware of it and you will be ok...
and the popping and stuff is also nowt to worry about there is a lot of pressure in them there cylinders.
only real time to worry is when you hear a rattle, metal on metal.. etc etc. get some super loud race cans and you wont hear any thing unless its serious..
Welcome aboard Darren. WOW what a clean looking bike

Just be prepared in case it should happen when you're pulling away from a T junction, as if you're not it can catch you out as you're banked over making a turn.
