I guess that backs up this comment from officer C

"Never admit to anything, but do say that you feel you were safe and in control. Officer C says, “I’ve let people off immense speeds. It’s been illegal, but not dangerous. If it’s dangerous at 50mph we’ll have you, but if you look safe doing 90mph, then that’s fine.”"

Were you safe and in control?

Hi mate dont mean to put a damper on things but what the hell are you doing post that on here, you totaly mad man you, youl get your ass slapped off cuppa,

unless you have written permison of the coppyright owners of that article and submiteed that to cuppa then you are in breach of copyright and that should be taken down imediatly by a mod!

or does this only apply to my self and video's? ive seen plenty of link's to documents on here of which coppyright infrigment has been an issue but nothing gets done unless i post it.

fair point i say.

I've just emailed the owner (Bertie) to see if it is ok to continue to hot link to the PDFs

Nope.

I don't think it will class as copyright infringement as it is linked to the site of the author. If I stuck them on my site and linked to them from there, its probably borderline infringement but only if they clearly show the copyright mark, which these pdfs don't appear to. I may however be done for Interlectual Property infringement, but as the links are bringing people to Bertie's site, I doubt hell kick my ass. Let see what his response will be :)

Are you starting to get paranoid now seb? Do you think we're all out to get you?

I told you how to get around it, it's you that's getting all shirty about it.

And just for the record, it was 2 non admins that raised the subject first.
Rich.

interesting article - read it and had a browse round the host site...like you do...
on copyright, i've run / admind / modded a fair few sites in my time, some of dubious legality :p and in my experience, most admin welcome links to their sites, bringing traffic and often boosting their income if it's adhosted.#
cut & paste plagerism is a big nono but linking to an article or thread is healthy imho, that's what the net is all about.

i found this (top) site through a link and hope to contribute to it's popularity by spreading word of it's existence.
it's easy to get paranoid about legalities but as long as there's no personal gain, it's all for the common good imo :)
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.
