Rear caliper bolts which part number

Post by Seven Of Nine Firestorm »

Put a new wheel on the storm, tightening up the rear caliper bolts to the required torque and snap the one towards the back of the bike shears, was lucky I could ge the thread out of the support bracket, does anyone know the part numbers for the rear caliper to support bracket bolts, also the brake pad thin metal shim which holds the pads in place.

For a 1999 model it looks like it's number 16 for the bolt in this micro-fiche if I understand you correctly:-

Chris.

PS. I just had another look, and it's the same part number for a 2005 bike, so I would imagine they're all the same.
Part number:- 90180-MN8-006

PPS. Back again :) David Silver can order them in for you:-

You can have a look yourself for the shim you mention.

While yer fettling that end of the bike check the sleeve (part no. 12) and bolt (no. 13) for corrosion.

As a bonus rear brake parts from the CBR600F4 99-06 are the same.

can you not buy a non Honda part cheaper? buy a matching pair from probolt or similar?

http://www.tastynuts.com/

I would measure the remaining bolt and get a high grade SS or titainium replacement!................obviously as these mount the brakes, dont scrimp on the grade of steel :D
