Ok now you bought one here is a few tips/comments.

§ I always tether the camera to the bike or to me just in case
§ Be especially careful when deciding where to mount the camera. You cannot re-use the mounts sticky stuff and a GoPro grab bag
with extra mounts set me back £20
§ Be prepared to be spending the first few attempts getting the settings right.
§ If the camera is upside down, make sure you have it in upd mode. I made that mistake
§ 3 1/2 hours of filming will cost you approximately 7gb and 4 energiser ultimate lithium batteries
§ Try and choose when you put your camera on. Save it for the twisties as the motorway stuff is boring
§ I sometimes take my net-book with me so I can admire the results whilst out and about

Thanks for the info George, that's very interesting.
Nothing to do with bike mounted camera's, but we bought a 9mp Fugifilm digi camera last year. It's not a bad little camera but it eats batteries for a pass-time. I've tried rechargeable 2800mAh Ni-Mh batteries which do last long enough to use the camera for a short time and they are far better than Duracell AA non-rechargeable. I am now thinking an investment into some Lithium-Ion could be a much better option. It wasn't until following this thread that I found there were such battery available in AA size.

yer nearly he flashed over the scuffs and you hardly notice em if i didnt tell ya, but he aint buffed up the lowers yet, its going back again when i get the sticker delivered. hes going to reapply the R and sort it properly then. but yer looks great. i got a mirror finish over the full bike. tank looks awesome along with the fairings very happy. spent the last few hours watching youtube clips getting ideas, ready for an assault on the countryside. just wondering what my exhausts will sound like. loud at a guess

was great riding there, for a mile or so i was in tandem with a loud sp1

That helmet footage was wierd to watch as the perspective made you look like a giant with a little bike yards below you! also when the bike was leaning but your head stayed the same, that was fun.


Also you have some crap roads to go down before you get out on the main roads, surface looked a bit shagged out in places, and when you got to the main roads, they were too busy!!

Question, whats with the different classes in the memory cards. I notice the transcend one you mentioned, George, Is class 6, 8gb. Is it different speeds??

Would they cut it or should i look at some others, or you reckon a cheaper one ? I never bought a memory card with the intentions of recording video to it lol

* Class 6: minimum sustained DTS of 6MB/sec

Class 6 is plenty quick enough

Good news that your painter was able to sort that out OK and finish it properly once the sticker/decal arives. I bet it's looking brilliant

Oh its looking great mate, been outside polishing since 430pm, just come in now Camera fitted ready for a test ride to work in the morning. Mounted it in same place as georges , viewing front wheel, for now. Did a few tests in the garden, i reckon its spot on. Had it hooked up to laptop out there, and the quality is outstanding

Think im gunna be liking this setup, Just thinking, i might put my other bullet cam on, and do picture in picture editing
