near miss x2 :/

Post by benny hedges »

woke up a bit sniffly this morning, finished work early so decided to go cat n fiddle for a quick blast, that usually clears my head...
just piling into the twisties just before the pub doing 70-80 and had a mad sneezing fit lol, not funny
snot all over the inside of my visor, couldnt see with my eyes shut so just anchored on and hoped for the best...
obviously i am not dead but i need to learn to sneeze with my eyes open.
sh1t meself lol!

then... had to be back for 6 for the mrs so picked my way thru rushour traffic thru stockport onto the m60...
all went well till i tried to nip between 2 lanes and the mondeo in front slammed on 8O
front wheel locked up sideways and bounced like hell, thought i was going to highside it, managed to stay on but the car behind literally just touched my boot 8O the lightest touch possible!

very close call indeedly

btw, noticed some fresh damage to a wall on c&f and flowers at the scene... mustve been in the last day or 2 as i go up there regularly and didn't notice anything last time....
a young lad on another forum i use had an off there on the 21st on his 125, totalled the bike and broke his hip, got to wear a plate & screws for 2 years, they reckon it'll be christmas before he's walking again 8O
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

 Snotty liner/visor, had that couriering, not good is it?
Not good with the eyes open and certainly not on the anchors. :(
But funny to see it is.

A fair few similar close shaves of the best-a-man-can-get variety yesterday myself. After such incidents, getting home in one piece seems to be all one can ask and somehow that beer tastes all the more refreshing as a result.

Phew
Starts with a R. Rrrrrrrr. Motorbike!

did that where you try to contain it in your gob thing, proper exorcist job.
not nice at all, spew coming out of my nose & running down my neck etc :/
then to make matters worse, when i got home i realised i'd followed thru as well
leathers straight in the bin lol.
not a good idea riding with gastric flu.
