Helmet Mic, heaphones - for iPhone - suggestions...?

Post by cliveyandrews »

I'd like to have the facility to use my iPhone for more than just tunes on the bike...

I don't mind using headphones (I have Motrax noise cancelling at the mo) - but ideally need a mic option - anyone have any crafty, budget ideas...?

Yes, tape on some airline tubing for an aquarium and run it up your sleeve, into your lid.

Waterproof, too!

You'll need one for the voice side, taped near your mouth with the other end near the mic on the Ipod.
The ear one needs to be taped over the speaker on yer Pod.

Three metres should see you alright, about 50p/metre.

Same game works for SatNavs.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

What I'd like to find is a mic that I could fit via a velcro patch to chin piece. If someone made an adaptor that both the headphones and mic plugged into, I could still use my comfortable and quiet earbuds....

(I have a mic adaptor gadget from eBay, but that has a built in mic)
