tank removal and refusal to start!

Ok so I think i'm just missing something. I took my petrol tank off the other night to fit a K&N filter in the air box and discovered the A1 fuel tap that honda threw in the firestorm( oh lord ) Anyways, I have fitted said filter and put the tank back on and the fuel isnt getting through. I'm pretty sure that I put all the relevant pipes back on in the correct order. My question is, Is there some trick to getting the fuel flow back to normal. Just seemed to start, and then slowly run dry of fuel and konk out. Is there a syphoning trick I should be doing??????? Any help would be spot on! Many thanks in advance.

ah - another one lol - try swapping over the 6mm rubber hoses. one is a vacuum pipe from the rear cylinder inlet, the other is a breather.
i suspect you have put the breather on the vacum stub on the fuel tap,.
it should pull a diaphragm and allow the fuel to flow.

The vacuum pipe should connect to the stub at 9 o'clock on the tap, not the one at the bottom; nothing goes on that one- it's a drain.

thanks lads, the missing rubber pipe had dissapeared out of sight down the left side of the bike. Hooked it up and went for a blat. Thanks for your help. Gonna go murder a beer!!
