Well hello all

Post by chris vtr virgin »

Hello everyone my name is Chris and i live in fife scotland
After not being on a bike in twenty years i bought a minted VTR 2000 modle, 13 k on the clock.
It has remus grand prix cans on the back they sound well smart
Also got pirelli angel tyres on it
As im just back to biking i would be gratefull to any hints, do's and dont's
Also trying to find out if i will have trouble with the boys in blue with the cans they have no markings on them but it passed an MOT with them on.
Finally what a great forum lots of good info

Any more VTR riders round this neck of the woods looking to go out for a blast. Only once the weather is better though.

X7 - I had sooooo much fun with mine!

Your gonna love the firestorm - but you do need to sort the CCTs, either change them for manual ones, or do the stopper mod - I learnt the hard way
And also make sure the regulator/rectifier has fins on it.

Welcome to the forum - you'll find the people on here are great!

RR is under the tail plastics on the RH side.
Under where your right leg goes if you have your foot down that side.

You can just see it if you lift the seat off.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Your cans will be fine if they passed the MOT. I was a bit worried about mine as mine are relatively loud, as some of the guys on here can comfirm as behind me last year. Mine passed last 3 yrs with Carbon Co cans on and no markings,so no worries :-0) There are guys up your way so you won't be on yer own for long! Shiney side up ;-0)

Finally what a great forum lots of good info
Many thanks
Chris
