Why are Honda's suppliers of parts so poor?

I actually had a component fail yesterday morning after passing the MOT fine on Saturday.
What part? The battery! I mean it is the original on a bike first registered in May 1997 so it hasn't even made 14 years old yet! What is the world coming to if a battery won't last, well, at least sixteen years ha ha. Shocking quality and worthy of a 'disgusted of Tunbridge Wells' type Radio 4 comment!

By the way, I think if you replace your battery then a genuine Yuasa YTX 12-BS is the best bet.

as in an earlier thread, if you leave the top cover off you can get a ytx20ch-bs in which is 18a/h
much more power to your elbow for not much more wonga

there is also a20a/h ytx22ch-bs but beware it weighs 14lb lol

i think the thread was 'occasional fault / misfire' in the garage section

This 'cheapest on eBay' strikes me as a lot more wonga compared with my highlighted original!!!!
