Jetting Through the Grand Canyon

Post by Wicky »

No Hollywood special effects but a great sound track 'Surfing with the Alien' by Joe Satriani

Bigger balls than mine!

They wouldn't be allowed to do it today, but back in 1959, experienced military pilots would sometimes buzz the Grand Canyon when flying out of nearby Nellis AFB. At the time, RAF pilot Ron Richard was an exchange officer with the US Air Force, training students in a Lockheed T-33. Fellow instructor Bud Pratt recalls that during these Canyon flights, the pilots would fly low enough that water would spray up from the river.

Looks fun, just like flat in top between the cars on the M25.

Soundtrack was credited as "Back to Shalla-Bal", by Joe Satriani, though- which was it, as it's worth a dowload?
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

I was changing my underwear so missed the music credits

Here's a live version of the track 'Surfing with the Alien' (from album of same name) which I thought was the soundtrack
