Hello Tony, good to see Tony was brave enough to guide you here... You can now look in his old posts and see what he really did to the bike you bought  :)

Sorry, don't panic, I have a sick sense of humour, enjoy the bike

Welcome to the forum. I've been here a shortish while and so far if theres one thing I've learnt about Firestorms is.... What Tony doesnt know about the bike isnt worth knowing.
And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes, I'll see you on the dark side of the moon.

Enough, already.

But at last I can reveal what I paid for the bike as a non-runner, with a starting problem.
it wasn't the starter motor, and it wasn't the sprag clutch, both of which had been replaced by the so-called-mechanic that sold it to me.
it was the two locked gears between the two, which weren't quite locked enough and slipped under torque load.

Two hours to sort, spare part was in stock.

So I bought the bike, delivered to my home in a van for £400.

Happy to buy any other non-runners for a similar price, happen you have one lying around.....

Get polishing, Tony!
See you at the Oakdene tonight, let's see what you've modded so far....
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
