This might be a common thing, but has anyone thought of or actually used marine grease for wheel bearings?
Any comments or suggestions?

on my off road bikes I take one seal out and fill with waterproof grease before fitting new wheel bearings.
they still need changed every year, but I feel like I am adding value!!!!!
Also avoid pressure washing anywhere near bearings, that causes more failed bearings than anythink else

Havent got to inspecting them yet but the clown who had the bike previously installed the axel backwards, so god only knows what I'll find.
Everything is completely dry too, I think I'm going to have to do a full strip down.
Thanks fellas.

It had just been inserted the wrong way around, so to undo it I had to use the 22m bolt on the right side (viewed from rear) as opposed to the left, where it should be.
If I'm correct, there should be a 27mm nut on the right hand side and a 22mm on the left under normal circumstances.
I'm not even sure it matters but I'm going to need to be very careful on re-assembly just in case there was a reason for it. I have blade wheels on.

Thank god, I thought you meant this:
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
