swing arm
Re: swing arm
do what i did when the weld went on the brake calliper bracket, and brace it while its off the bike .
Re: swing arm
Take it off the bike, clean everything with paraffin then sort the bearings and collars. Pretty easy job and makes a difference.macfreebe wrote:Hi there any tips on how to refurb the swing arm thanks
Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level then beat you with experience!
Re: swing arm
Thanks guys but i meen the look of the swing arm as i tried cleaning it and using auto solve on it but the marks dont come of and it looks dirty
Re: swing arm
Take it right off, strip all the bearings out & get it down to your local powder coaters.
Get it back & rebuild using all new bearings, seals & various spacers n bolts + loads of grease.
Make re-lube & through check over part of your annual strip down & spruce up.

Making up since 2007, sometimes it's true...Honest...
Re: swing arm
you'll never polish it by hand, you need a bench grinder and polishing mops to get it all blingy but tbh once you've done it it'll take some keeping up with...macV2 has right idea...powdercoat it...
Re: swing arm
Cheers guys what colour do you think i was thinking black but not sure any of you guys got it done?
Re: swing arm
i'm sure i've read that bigspanishmarty powder coated his frame and swingarm black but you don't have to have yours done black, you can have it coated silver, blue, red even pink if that floats your boat...it's all about daring to be different and being individual.
