I'm just down the road - what's the problem?

http://www.vtr1000.org/phpBB3/viewtopic ... 43#p173543

From your earlier thread, have you replaced the other CCT? Check the Regulator/Rectifier to see if it's an early dodgy unfinned one and replace with a later finned one or wire in a mofet one to avoid grief.

Listen for rear end squeaks from rear bearings in the shock linkage - still worth greasing it up so you know its done as I'd be surprised that was done at the last service. While you've got the grease out slap a knob under the rubber hood on the starter especially at this time of year.

Get the downloadable PDF manual from the workshop section as well as a Haynes manual

its nothing in particular, but im just paranoid that something is wrong with it, and as ive never ridden one i have nothing to compare to. all the needed works are going to get done when i get my january bonus hopefully, but would just be good to put my mind at rest if an experianced person had a quick look over it, cheers mate

(local lad Bazza or Mark Krieger in the US will probably do them individually)

Depends on a couple of factors: The speedo is significantly optimistic and if the bike's gearing has been changed (without a healer) that will add more discrepancy to what the true speed is to what is indicated.

Motorcyclist booked for 205mph on Honda RC51

I can easily pop up say next weekend. If masterdave aka Luke PMs us with a day, time and address we can conveniently meet up.

masterdave,

Saw this and thought of your damaged hanger

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HONDA-VTR1000 ... 500wt_1180

Good to meet up the otherday - Hope the rear indicator is all fixed  Thinking about Easter Saturday for the CCT session for you and lumpyv, but if we get a warmer Saturday before then get in contact - the sooner the better to get em changed.

Hi Lumpyv,

Contact Bazza (bazza696) for converted CCts or Mark Krieger (klx678) for new uns

http://www.vtr1000.org/phpBB3/memberlis ... ile&u=8046

http://www.vtr1000.org/phpBB3/memberlis ... le&u=10585

Make sure the alternator hex cap bolt (timing access) can be undone / have a new un on hand in case it's seized in. And then all we need is a bit of Saturday sunshine.
