I am likely the "someone" you are referring to who recently (lucked out and) got the HRC ICM. I had tried my luck with an Ignitech TCIP4 beforehand but couldn`t get it to work. However, many have had success (on VTRs; it`s also a very popular upgrade on Ducs). I never got around to doing a full diagnostic to find out why mine didn`t work (found the HRC unit in the interim) but the Ignitech unit works well for many and I have to say the technical support I got from them was good.
