I love the Maxxis tyres.

Got one of the ST ones on the rear at the moment.

I ran the supersport ones on my old CBR6 and thought they were great, good on track as well.

Not tried the Diamonds yet but £ for £ I reckon they (Maxxis in general) are as good as the others at road speeds.

Michelin Pilot Road 2's are cheap now the 3's are around and they wear like a young prostitute, just fitted a pair for £170 and wearing really well and sticks very well, better or equal to than a roadsmart which I thought coudnt be beaten, the Michelins are looking better than the RS though at a thousand miles in and no signs of squaring off, (I usually toast a tyre by 2500 so its looking good).

I have Maxxis Supermax Sports fitted back and front to the Storm and in my opinion they stick like sh*t to a blanket. Never had a moment with them and I do tend to ride in a "spirited" fashion at times  Also fitted a pair to my GSXR750 and that handles really well on them too. I would recommend them to anyone but again it`s down to personal choice. I think people are still wary of them because of the comparetively low price and the fact that they are not as big a "brand" name as Pirelli, Dunlop etc.

Pretty good considering how little grooves there are on them.

However, if you spend a lot of time commuting on straight roads they do wear heavily in the middle.

As I said before, I've not used the Diamonds so can't help there.

Where did you get Road 2's for that price mate?? They're all £200 plus where I've seen them. Cheers.

I've used ER before, and agree. A company called Motorcycle Tyres Uk are actually at the top of my street, but they are stupidly expensive, and charge £ 15 fitting to EACH loose wheel, £25 each if on the bike!! I used to go to Universal Tyres in Hornchurch, but they've recently shut down. Looks like it'll be Essential Rubber or FWR, seeing as I'm working in deep dark Sarf London at the minute !!

Lee when I went to ER I mentioned that I had been pointed in their direction via a post on the Firestorm forum & he knocked a bit more off. Got to be worth a try even for a few quid! He used to own a Storm as well.
