hello all had this in another post ,so this area would be better ,when i got my bike last week my left hand indicator flashed to fast :confused
Ive now changed them to after market indicators and they all do this :( they are not LEDS just normal bulbs:wink:
one member has suggested it could be a dodgy earth how can i check and fix it if this is the case ?

,im not to clued up about electrics but willing to try owt 8O

Another thing is i have to keep my thumb on the switch for a good few seconds before they work :eh: this drives me bonkers :crazy: :crazy: :crazy:

I haveva new relay coming incase it this :thumbup:

Spray some wd40 in to the switch gear it should help

I went into my shed and found a can of it and it was empty :crazy: :crazy: damn it :x

Instead of WD40, buy contact cleaner, that's what it's designed for.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Switch cleaner is the right thing. I have a similar issue with my indicators, when it's cold ( <5C ) they take around 4 seconds to come on, temperatures above this they come straight on. I have cleaned with switch cleaner but no change. I am thinking it must be something to do with metals contracting in cold weather. When I have time I will have to take the switch apart to see what goes on in there! Chris

it may be the bulb wattage is different (read wrong)

:( fitted new relay today still the same sprayed the switch leave to soak in ,then ill check it :thumbup: how do i solve the bad earth or check its bad????
What i know about electric is dadgy but will to have a go :crazy:

Just fitted after market indicators to mine they came with 12v 10w bulbs had to change to 12v 23w bulbs to fix fast flashing fault

those maybe?

what are you doing with your front indicators? i have exactly the same ones as you fitted but i want standard ones instead :lol:

Second person to ask :lol: it came with diffrent ones to standed ,the same as the ones ive fitted but with amber lenses sorry mate :thumbup:
