hi just trying a few things, before i start are they 10mm the washers for the banjos? (on the storm)

If you have the copper ones, anneal them by heating to cherry red over a gas ring on the hob, then allowing to cool gently.
Don't quench them in water.

Then they're nice and soft again.
Doesn't work with aluminium ones, though.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
