good place for the flashing light is next to the rear reflector, if you still have it in it's original place just below the rear light.

I mounted my wee flashing led light in the gap on the front brake reservoir, its cable tied to the brakelight wire. Sits there quite happily flashing away.

Some great ideas there chaps... The problem is I have one light and would like it visible from the widest possible range of angles. Of course sod's law says the neatest locations will have the smallest viewing angle.
Big warning in the installation manual about not connecting up multiple lights (i.e. the circuit driving it is too weak)... I guess it's time to deploy some electronics in the shape of a transistor and big up the available driving current :-)
I do really like the idea of a blinking sidelight, just not sure how bright the LED would have to be to be visible... Damn I wish I had a spare sidelight to play with... Typical... I've got lots of spare back end bits, but not front (why do people insist on wrecking bikes going forwards, why can't the build them with a reverse gear so we'd get some Sainsbury's car park back-end crunches too?).
Oh, and I still haven't ruled out abusing the fuel warning LED - Just got to make sure I don't impede its real purpose or it will get very embarrassing - I still haven't quite figured out why the warning LED has got 3 connections

drill the back of the headlight,just big enough to squeeze the led in there,should look good of a night but maybe not very visual during the day

Today involved massaging an R6 subframe to fit onto the Storm...at some points I felt like giving up and going back to the original one...glad I havent tho...gonna look amazing!!! (in my opinion
)
Had to cut quite a chunk of it off to get the seat up to the tank lol but all being well should be able to get the angle of the dangle up to something I'm happy with...to be fair, a different length of box section and I can have it as high or as low as I want it
Gonna hopefully get all the mounting finished up tomorrow night so I can look at sorting out how I'm gonna mount the battery and wiring

I've been poking about with the spare set of clocks wondering if I can make the alarm flash the fuel level warning LED... I've discovered something else... You know that shiny chrome allen bolt at the top centre of the clocks... Do you know what that does?
Answer: Absolutely nothing. It's a compete fake, there's nothing behind it but a little recess... I think I might have found a great place for an alarm LED

Now can I drill a nice hole through that fake bolt without marking... Hmmm...

Had an inch of extra foam put in my seat to cosset my backside, and increase the distance to the pegs. Yet to ride it, but feels comfy at a standstill.

Hi Lee, you're just down the road from me, do you know of anywhere local that can do a seat pad and recover job? Mines got a little tear in it (bloody firework dropped from the sky right onto it), and, well a bit more leg height at the same time sounds tempting too.

Fitted new rear pads and venhill clutch line.
Couldn't believe how soft the clutch felt with the original hose compared to the braided new one.
Never had a bike with fibreglass shims between the rear pad and anti squeal plate, is this standard ?

Fitted nice new indicators and new brackets for the belly pan but when I drilled the plastic repair it just cracked out so had to redo that, then took the bike for a spin to try out the drift hd170 camera.....definitely gonna have to buy an external mic as it sounds like the bikes falling apart
and vibration is quite bad in places, might have to try the helmet mount
