mate got a new car last week after the police took his corsa

he went and got a 07 plate Black Astra 3door

yesterday he thought about getting his windows tinted, so he rang the insurance company to declare it, they wanted an extra £460 quid a year, and for painted black wheels another £100


100 quid to change the colour of the wheels, what the wombles!!

If the Police took his last car and he told the insurance company this then he is a higher risk and they love loading premums for stuff like that. At the end of the day it's potentially making the car more of a target to get nicked, has he tried the likes of Adrian S Flux and some other specilist insurance companies? I fitted a Mi16 motor to my 205 1.9GTI, took the fuel injection off and fitted a pair of twin Webber 45 DCOE's and it cost me and extra £100.00 as I was an "enthusiast" and didn't have any previous issues.

My dad had the 405 Mi16 when they was new, had a bit of work done on it and in its day it was a great motor, had it as a rep mobile covered 160,000 miles in 3 years, only thing that went wrong was the ABS, all the time it was having problems and wanted checking.
