I'd recommend using Dilithium Crystal grease on those connectors, otherwise it could start to wreck itself.

Can't say it's Dilithium, but they're greased. They're not coming off any time soon, the spades were so tight I had to force them down with a screwdriver. I then added plenty of grease via the tip of a screwdriver and then did the heat shrink in situ. There will be more "keep the water out" steps once I've finalised the cable routing and know which way they're going.

So what's not working Those wires and connections look exceptionally good, nice and colourful. You did get the three yellows on the right three/side lugs didn't you.

Dunno yet... Tonight (interruptions permitting) I shall be connecting it to the bike and firing it up voltmeter in hand. I think wire order and position is over-rated. I just went for the arrangement with the best colour balance.

I was just referring to my recent habit of fiddling with things that work and causing trouble... Bleeding the working brakes taking two evenings for example! The current Honda R/R is working fine, so this is another bit of preventative maintenance.

Gave the outside of all my brake calipers a good scrub and clean. Then went for a spin over to Boxhill, then Guildford, then home. Done a tank of fuel, 70miles on the trip since last re fuel I think I may have been a bit throttle happy.

Nope, checked all of that and I don't smell excess fuel while riding. I'm going to keep an eye on it, check the colour of my plugs after a few tankfulls. Might have to play around with my mixture screws again. Bikes running sweet though.

70 miles is track day milage, if you managed to ride like that on the road i would be worried. how many litres to fill it? Either your tank has a big dent it or the fuelling is wrong

You know what, I never note how many litres go in at the pump, I always look at the price. When the light comes on I put about £16 in to fill up. Tank has no dents, but I suspect it's fuelling as you said.
The carbs have never been apart in the time I have had it. I have a spare set of carbs, I was going to wait to get a factory pro kit and install that first. But I might just bung them on to make comparisons see how she runs.

You do know that lever by your left foot can go up more clicks don't you? There are other gears the other side of the neutral. Give it a go!
