Wow that is pretty cool and sounds great Rob. You should enter it into the Superhawk bike of the month, the yanks would love it. I actually think that is a very good custom. Well done.   I still don't get the bars though.

Having the fuel go over the exhaust like that must have been a bit scary. :eek2

I like it
All the way through the build 9and thanks for regular updates) I've been struggling to see past the kaleidoscope of colours and the high bars- they're difficult to ignore!

But the engineering solutions are good, well thought through and executed.

You'll always compromise handling with a hardtail, but at least the chain will last longer and you won't have to constantly complain about the standard shock settings.....

The oil catch tank and bigger oil cooler should compensate well enough for the lack of a rad, and I like the simplicity of the 2:1 feed for the intake side.
Reusing some of the original coolant pipes joined together could do with replacing with a single line, though, as a suggestion, or even a chromed tube between the rubber ends might look the part.
If you find it overheats in hot weather, maybe one of the Harley-type inline radial finned coolers might fit there, just to get some additional heat away.

A good variation with an underused engine.

cheers peeps. :cool2

i was a bit worried about numb hands/arms, but all seems ok so far.... in fact it's surprisingly comfy!!!!!
good idea about the radial cooler, tony, i'll see how it goes.... i might get a problem with icing in the winter, the inlet manifold gets cold to the touch, but i can spiral some copper or stainless thin tube around it and tee into the coolant system somewhere if it becomes a problem.

That's why I voted. I can't wait to see the posts if he wins.

To be honest though out of the few that have entered this month, Robs bike is the best one. If it's considered a storm   The others just look too plain, nothing special.

Your welcome mate, you deserve it. It's shame they have not seen the video clip. It sounds like a storm. They are just being pedantic over whether it is or not.

Anyway lets just wind them up a bit for a laugh. Maybe the next American to mention streetfighter in the wrong context can have a copy of you know what....
