no camera trickery! thoughts of OMG shut her down now and must grab camera phone. mate suggested, as others that similar on dyno run and also running way lean. but nothing changed from parking up and a 166mph run (on private roads officer) to today other than time. am loathe to strip carbs, might try redex and careful inspection. first. hope to go racing in thunderbikes at brands in july so time becoming an issue. she has a dynajet kit and pipercross filter, running art cans and a full dyno tune before being laid up. still i guess more work needed. cheers rob
Rob, was that bike on the stand and being revved? As you say, you'll get hot exhausts on a dyno, or doing burnouts etc, as there's no air flow past the pipes to cool them.
But if that's after a road run, it's too lean for sure. Is it a standard system still?
Have you got an ignition advancer fitted?
You might want to think about the plugs heat range as well, although with these engines there's rarely a reason to change from standard Iridium spec.
But if it's been laid up for a while you might have a partially blocked jet, not main jet if it's hitting top speed as normal, though.
Needle too low?
Only a dyno/fuelling run will tell.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
