bolts n stuff

Post by agentpineapple »

advice needed ladies and gents
i'm trying to replace certain items on my bike back to original spec, just little things like bolts and washers and such.
i'm looking at buying a pair off rubber washer/grommet thingys that sit at the front of the petrol tank under the mounting bolts, if looked at lings honda and including shipping its £10.33 , that just feels like i'm being :Behind 2:
i also need 8x air box lid screws, i don't have any on my bike(bolts instead, just ask carl  ) scrub this one, i found a place on ebay where i can buy 100(i only need 8 tho  ) for £5.28, lings wanted 61p per screw....
and finally does anyone know the size of the bolt, tank hinge at the back of the tank, i have got a set of verniers to get an accurate measurement :(

IIRC 10mm nut on the long hinge bolt at the rear of the tank - so what goes through there now holding your tank on? or do you clamp your legs tight on the tank to stop it falling off (;
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

There's a bolt and 10mm nut as it should be on there at the mo , so I don't know what the problem is there.

And yes Marty change those allen bolts in you airbox lid, it's a pain everytime I go and grab my screwdriver out of habit, it takes twice as long to remove them, and they are not magnetic.

Your bike is so abnormal. :biggrin

If you have a top fairing mounting bolt in there. the shorter type with the flange on it that goes on the top of fairing near the rad. Can you chuck one in with Marty's bits please mate. I lost mine the other day. :(

Headlight surround?
I've been keeping an eye out for a spare one to spray white.
Might sort a swap for those cam covers, and the rental on the swing arm
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Go on then.
I might leave the sticky back plastic on and just get a Blue Peter decal made up for it.

Am I in a rush?

How long have you had my SA?

No, no rush, Marty

But I want it in black fake carbon, not the pink version, or people will start talking.
But not to me.
