Congratulations Rob!

I won't say that it's exactly my cup of tea, but f*ck me, the work that has gone into it is just superb.

I hope to get a close-up look at it in person one day.

Let's hope the trophy presentation isn't held in a car park with a height restriction.

Well done.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

a 700 mile round trip from somerset to the lake district last weekend, in monsoon rain and gales, bike didn't miss a beat.
and picked up another 'best engineering' trophy, too!!! :D

not just any old 'best engineering' trophy tho, i won it at the NCC euro-run. 8)

the NCC is the biggest and most respected custom motorcycle club in europe, and to win that trophy against the best builders in europe is a huge honour.
i'm chuffed to bits. :cool2

Rob, congratulations on the awards, the bike deserves it

A 350 mile trip with those bars!!!! was there a physio there to help you get you arms back down so you could have a drink at the bar?

Where was the lake district event? As I was riding up from Brum to SW Scotland on bank holiday monday thre was a lot of choppers comming back down the M6, so I figured there had to be a rally or something on.

I also saw a lot of bikes and tents in a wet field just north of Penrith asi came back onto the A6, but looked like most people had left.

9 1/2 hours, including about 50 miles of filtering thru stationary traffic between birmingham and manchester on the way up, 9 hours back in monsoons and gales, 4 short fuel stops each way. it's surprisingly comfy.... didn't have to take my feet of the pegs once to stretch my legs, normally i have to do that even on std bikes, arms are fine too, surprisingly!!!
that location sounds about right.
