Flush mounted front indicators
Okie dokie,
BSR aertotek hoses now fitted, GSG moto crash bobbins, which were a dream to fit, no fairing modification, which leaves you with huge enourmous aerofoils at the front end, masquerading as indicators projecting beyond the crash bobbins. The indicators as I'm sure you will all know are fixed to the inner skin of the top fairing, so if the bike goes down, so to speak , the indicators are then pushed around, which inevitabley leads to the inner / outer skin of the top fairing fracturing :mad2 .
So any of you guys out there got any tips for mounting the Motrax style flush indicators as it would appear that you can't use the O.E. type fitting, if you may be so kind as to share .

Slow in, slow out. Ohh err missus, now with added G-Force carbon fibre race cans. Sounds like a Spitfire.
I used the long stalk micro arrow indicators. They just poke out through the hole in the fairing left for the OE indicators probably taken from a routemaster bus. Obviously they don't fit flush, but all you can see is the lens assembly poking out and they look pretty good...if I do say so myself
Drink to contentment not to capacity. I just haven't figured out which comes first.

I got a thin sheeet of ally, cut it to size (ie a little bit bigger that the hole) and bolted the indicators to it
Piece of piss
The pissy around bit was filing the indicators down to make a curved surface so they fitted flush

i've got the flush mount led fitted at front and mini leds fitted at rear, everyone says they look great just flash twice as quick, you can get resistors for them but will see if the bike fails MOT first, cant get the hang over attaching a photo so if you PM me your email address will send you photos of both!
I also put the long stemed led pointy ones on mine

there is a picky of the front ones on here somewhere. I replaced them to match the back ones. they stick out a teeny bit but they are very bright and highly visible as the idiots on the roads round here have to have their retinas well and truely burnt before they see you.
We had a thread about resisters and such a while back

Flush mounted indicators
Cheers lads,
I have the flush mounted variety ready to go, so to speak. But having had a look at Max's website I think I may be going the same way, do look very cool, and the paint scheme on Max's bike is the same as mine, but I think Max's was done by Dream Machine, and mine by Pro-Art. They stick out only a little but hopefully that should be covered by the crash bobbins, hopefully won't ever find out, touch wood!

Got the rear light from busters awhile ago, it doesnt have a number plate light though. Its LEDs and looks OK. I will have to sort out a plate light this summer. I just put the old one back on for the MOT. I have had to move the rear indicators up a bit on mine now as I have put High levels on and they were a bit to close(one melted a bit). The Mot man was complaining that you couldnt see the rear indicators form behind.

Yeah I noticed the rear light when I viewed the website, can't make my mind up to go the same way as yourself, or the way of Free Street Design, a French manufacturer.
Put a post up a while ago about the rear light they supply, thought hadn't crossed my mid about MOT test, as the French version has the indicators in the rear lens housing, may encounter a problem if I go down that route.

Don't know if you fellas can get Lockhart-Phillips stuff over there, but they've got flush mounts in 3 sizes. If I remember correctly, mine are the mid-size ones, but I'm not sure (they may be the large ones). I had to remove the inner fairings to install them, but they hold in place with a big plastic 'nut' with a ring molded into it from the inside of the outer fairing, and the wiring will thread through the mounting holes in the inner piece. The lens on the outside is curved a bit, so it fits the fairing quite nicely. Not a great pic, but you get the idea here:

hi there every one, regarding the rear light with the indicators built in, i have one on my storm and have had a policeman and a mot tester say that there is no problem with it. regarding the law as long as it shows a orange light visable from the rear of the bike its ok.
and yes it looks the nuts and i love it, i bought the complete unit off ebay for £66 including postage and it came with all the resistors if it flashes to fast. i hope this clears up any quirys.

L8RGYZ,
They're CBR F4 mirrors. Aftermarket carbon-look ones (can't remember the brand). I couldn't find any decently priced stock ones to replace the left one after I busted it up in the crash last summer, so I improvized. I mounted the upper screws in the stock holes and then drilled through the fairing and stay just below the lower hole (they're actually kinda siamesed with the stock holes), using the mirror holes as a guide. They're more squared on the outside and the stalks are longer, meaning I can see something in addition to my elbows. BTW, I'm moving to the DC area (probably going to live near Quantico) in the June/July timeframe this summer.
