Tony, Is this good news, you sorted out a new job now?tony.mon wrote:tomorrow.
But I'll be at work then, so perhaps I'd best do it today......
Bloody hell, Carl, I'm surprised you didn't set fire to the front tyre!cybercarl wrote:...It was so funny riding down to the welders with the front cylinder firing straight out...
a novel way of getting your front wheel warmed up tho, who needs tyre warmersmr.john.coates wrote:Bloody hell, Carl, I'm surprised you didn't set fire to the front tyre!cybercarl wrote:...It was so funny riding down to the welders with the front cylinder firing straight out...
Fantastic those brembo pads aint they!pinkyfloyd wrote:Well today I managed to get around to fitting the brembo brake pads to the bike. Of course pinky, being pinky, took the long way around but eventually got it done. Mental notes made are as follows:
Before you remove the caliper you should losen the pin that holds the pads in. (yes I had to put the caliper on a couple of times before I figured this out.)
Those little one way bleeding valves that are sold on Ebay are shite. The best thing to do if you wasted money on one is throw it away. Clear tubing over the bleed nipple works so much better.
brembo brakes bloody bite!
What should have been a 30 minute job turned into a 2 hour job because, well I am learning all this as we go along, but the end result is I have brakes. My initial thought on the Brembo's are "bloody hell!" Bear in mind I have not tried to stop at any more than 10mph at the moment but the bite is just unreal. I did have a good bit of life left on the old pads but the difference is phenomenal. Can t wait to see what they are like when they have bedded in.
Got to do the back tomorrow (Yes I should have done that years ago but shhh!)
