Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
yeah that is shiny tony, what happened plate come unbolted or something.
Well I finished polishing my back wheel, my hands are as rough as hell now and sore, ended up wearing gloves to finish its
going to start the front in the morning, but fishing in the afternoon if weather holds clear.

Oh no tony. Mon has a shiny bit on his bike

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
The Bike It tail tidy had fracured on one side; I lashed it in place with cable ties and ordered another, which is sitting here, but didn't get round to fitting it....TonyW650 wrote:yeah that is shiny tony, what happened plate come unbolted or something.

Ah well, it's lighter like this.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Oh sh1t, fookin hell. I guess I wont be getting a pic of that number plate bracket then.Today I mostly ran over my own numberplate....

It's when you get to the flesh and fingers start to blead where it really hurts. That's when I have to wear gloves. Done it many times when decorating and filler dust makes it sting even more.Well I finished polishing my back wheel, my hands are as rough as hell now and sore

Yes, it's in the post above, taped to the carbon can to stop it battering the carbon undertray and my tail plastics.cybercarl wrote:Oh sh1t, fookin hell. I guess I wont be getting a pic of that number plate bracket then.Today I mostly ran over my own numberplate....![]()

I knew you'd like it mate lol ;-)lloydiecbr wrote:Just test road the hrc throttle and I like it .
It gives a much more positive feel to the throttle even when filtering through traffic :-) but you do have to be careful in 1st and 2nd gear unless you like looking up at the sky.
Is it worth the money YES
Would I recommend it YES
And I also recommend taking some clean under ware for when you fall off the back because you've forgotten you have fitted it (I didn't do that honest )
It is deceiving not noticing any difference in feel from standard until you ride it, it's weird

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Today I cleaned and polished my bike in preparation for the workshop day tomorrow. I used the Bilt Hamber Hydra-wax for the first time. Shall see what the beading is like on it when it rains later.
I'm quite impressed with the wax, it smells nice (like fruit juice
) it's easy to apply and does not leave a white haze on plastics and vinyl, and is easy to polish off.

I tried the wax on the Titanium cans, but it did not work on them quite so well. I'm still trying to find a specific product to polish them up, otherwise I will have to stick to WD40.

Very shiny Carl .
Didn't someone use barman's or barmaids friend on titanium and worked very well

That was me that used the barkeepers friend when I first got them
it's probably a bit to abrasive for everyday sort of polishing. It even gets rid of the blueing on pipes.
Marty give us a shout when you back and we will sort the bargain basement tank out.
My clutch cover will be getting a window eventually. and the casings I may do Black. Depends on what my re-spray colour is going to be.

Thanks for all the comments guys. Next year she will start to look real nice when I spray the frame and get the bodywork re-sprayed. Got big plans to make it a bit unique from other storms. It will be one of a kind like myself
This is not what I'm doing, but another members bike. Mr john coates it reminds me of your avatar.
