Braided hoses
Are they hard to fit?
Rear looks easy but front on mine as one going to each cylinder as standard is this normal or is it because its a 2003
Standard on the 2003 is one pipe down to a splitter on the bottom yoke then a hose to each caliper. The race set up is two seperate hoses from master cylinder down to the calipers. The braided hoses are easy to fit, just be careful when draining/filling/bleeding the system.

As above said. They are easy to do. I set up the race set for mine. 2 from lever, one to each caliper and if I can do it anyone can.
And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes, I'll see you on the dark side of the moon.

well your trying to purge the system of air bubbles so you have to pump the air out by opening and closing the bleed nipples and pumping whilst making sure the reservoir is kept topped up. its really important to get it done properly so get i,d get better advice than mine if i were you. having two of you is quite handy

Try and beg steal or borrow a Mityvac vacuum pump. Trying to pump through with the lever is a pain as it moves very little fluid. The pump sucks it through from the bleed nipple, just keep the reservoir topped up. Used it on mine when I fitted braided hoses, it was a doddle. You could buy one, not cheap but a good investment.
While you're messing about with brake fluid replace the fluid in the rear brake and the clutch as well if it hasn't been done recently

Make sure you put the copper washers on both sides of the banjos at the master cylinder so there should be three with the two lines. One on the inside, then banjo, another washer, banjo, and another washer on the outside under the bolt.
When the new hoses are on & bolted up, fill from the bleed nipple with the syringe pushing the fluid up through the system & therefore expelling the air upward out of the MC.
Cheap & easy way to do it, as used & recommended by Professor of Breaking Jonesy & so simple even a spanner monkey-brains like me can do it.
