just fitted a 3mm plate on my monoshock, does anybody know if i should alter my front suspension as well.. i.e. thicker oil, different springs etc...

If yours is still standard, you can get a good result from a Hyperpro, WP, or Hagon fork spring set or similar, they normally come with oil.
About £100, if you fit them yourself, which is quite easy.
I've played a fair bit with different settings and I'd start with a 145 air gap, 7.5 weight oil.
But only with replacement springs; this may not work well with the standard springs and 100mm spacer in the forks.
This eradicates the problem with the forks crashing over bumps when braking hard, but also allows the front end to rise more when accelerating.

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
