I'm back.......briefly

Post by Wildfire Mk2 »

Haven't been on here for some time - not least because i havent been riding the Storm as much lately....
I was originally just Wildfre but forgetting my password  allied with an out of date e mail address rendered my old account inaccessible, hence the Mk2

Anyway - my next post will be in the For Sale section as I feel the time has come for a change - Loved the Storm whilst I have had it but limited riding time, finances, togther with an urge to try a crusier/custom for a change (less likely to get nicked for speeding for 1 thing) and to give me an ongoing project for a year or two has made me decide to let it go to a better home where it will get the use it deserves.

I know I'll miss it when its gone but needs must......

I predict your next post won't be in the for sale section matey. The board now has a ten post minimum to access that function.
Keep it and join in the purile banter with the rest of us freaks!!!

Don't worry about useful, none of the rest of us do! How long have you been a member on here in your previous incarnation?

Well I've had the Storm for about 6 yrs and pretty much joined on here straight away - was never a prolific poster but nor just a lurker - pretty much middle of the road I suppose

Always been good for banter on here though without it getting out of hand - been on a few other forums (modded on one) that just degenerated into cliques and kids in the playground arguing......ended up ruining it for everyone else to the point of it shutting down.

Saying that.....I expect to get some pi**aking over my new bike but hey ho :biggrin

Couldn't lose the V Twin thing though......tried a parallel twin Triumph America on their open day recently and hated it....really bland and uninspiring.
The new bike (650 Dragstar) isn't particularly powerful but still has that V Twin grunt......good for about 90ish, will cruise all day at 70-80. Not sure about MPG but expecting 40-45ish.

I'll post some pics up if anyones interested....thinking I'll call it Marmite

 Dont really fit the MC mould either tbh....bit too much commitment - used to do the rallies when I was younger though, Kent Custom / Rock n Blues / Bulldog along with smaller MCC ones. If you've never been to one it should be on your bucket list

Not if you look at his post count. The problem is by posting two separate posts, one after another to try and increase post counts or post something of no real value it don't increase things. This is one reason why forums have moderators.

Whereas if someone posts something of real value and contributes something worthwhile and helpful post counts will increase. Also the more that someone posts ie more words, rather than a quick one sentence reply's this will help too.

I have a Harley and a Firestorm, wouldnt part with either.

Sorry dont mean to be snobby, I have had loads of cruisers in the past and to be honest the Japanesse cruisers just doesnt stir my soul like a Harley does, or wind me up and break down ( it isn't that bad ) .

I just done the Rally at mersea island, Condom rally.
