Strange markings?!

Yep that's exactly what's on mine, a relief to know. Looks so much like the markings you would expect a breakers to use to identify engine age etc.

You can't quite see the ones you're talking about, but they are written with a marker just like the ones you can see in the photo below:-

Benno, opps I meant to say, click on the photo to make it bigger for a closer look if you haven't already. I can easily see why you'd think a breaker could have put that on there
